These Boozy Blond Brownies are good all by themselves or add them to a dish with some caramel and ice cream for a super duper dessert.

I think these actually taste like my Amish Buttermilk Cookies.  The icing is similar to my browned butter icing.  I love an icing that starts with melting butter and brown sugar on the stove!  I put a little of my favorite Maker's Mark Bourbon in both the brownies and the icing.  With all the brown sugar sweetness going on the bourbon adds the perfect taste.

We have a big weekend coming up.  We will be traveling to Portsmouth a few times this week. Cally is graduating from Shawnee State University on Saturday and will be moving back home with us for a bit.

Cally is graduating with a Bachelors degree in Early Childhood Education.  She is excited for her next journey in life to begin.  As always I will take lots of pictures to share with you all in a future post!
