I probably should call this a Salted Caramel Mocha Smoothie because I actually drink mine for breakfast :) and a Smoothie sounds more like breakfast than a Milkshake.  Either way these are awesome!

My first Starbucks experience was when we were in Portsmouth in May for Cally's College Graduation.  We do not have a local Starbucks in Springfield so this is the perfect solution for us!  I made the milkshakes in my Cuisinart Ice Cream Maker.

When making ice cream in my Cuisinart, it is always soft when done churning.  I have to put the ice cream in an air tight container and freeze for several hours or overnight for the ice cream to get hard and be able to scoop it.  One day while putting the ice cream into the container, I thought to myself this is like a milkshake, that is how the thought of using my ice maker for milkshakes came about. Making milkshakes this way I am using the ingredients I usually use for ice cream and not having to make the ice cream first to turn around and add milk to make it a milkshake.

Salted Caramel Mocha Milkshake
makes 2 Milk Shakes

2 cups Starbucks Salted Caramel Mocha Iced Espresso
3/4 cup whipping cream
1 1/4 cups half and half
6 tablespoons sugar

Pour everything into your Cuisinart Ice Cream Maker and let it churn for 17 to 20 minutes.  Pour into glasses and enjoy!  If you wish you may garnish with whipping cream and pour caramel ice cream topping down inside the glass before filling.
