The movie I chose was The Snowman which is based on Raymond Briggs' classic picture book.
This is an animated movie with no words just music.  It reminds me of the old silent movies.  There is also a sequel to the movie that has a snowdog, The Snowman and the Snowdog.

Now let's check out the rest of the amazing Christmas creations!

Each of the bloggers have created a recipe or craft to go with one of their favorite holiday movies.  Be sure to visit all the blogs to see 25 Christmas ideas that these wonderful bloggers have come up with for you.

The recipe I have made to go along with my movie is Melted Snowman Hot Chocolate.  At the end of the movie the snowman melts so I thought it was fitting to have a frozen whipped Cream snowman that will melt in my hot chocolate!

The frozen snowman whipped cream faces were very easy to make.  Kids can even join in and put  faces on their snowmen.

To make the frozen whipped cream faces,  Take 1 cup of heavy whipping cream and whip until thickened, add 1/4 cup of powder sugar and a splash of vanilla and continue to whip until stiff peaks form.  Scoop snowman faces of whipped cream with an ice cream scoop onto a cookie sheet lined with parchment paper.  To add the face, use regular chocolate chips for the eyes, a piece of candy corn for the nose and mini chocolate chips for the mouth.  After faces have been added, place cookie sheet in the freezer overnight.  The next morning put the snowmen in an air tight container and return to the freezer until ready to use.

You can use store bought hot chocolate or if you want a decadent hot chocolate use my recipe which has a whole large Hershey Bar melted inside... Yum!

Hot Chocolate

1/2 cup sugar
1/4 cup boiling water
pinch of salt
4.4 ounce Hershey Milk Chocolate bar, chopped
3 1/2 cups half and half
1 teaspoon vanilla

In a sauce pan add sugar, chocolate bar, salt and boiling water.  Bring to a soft boil and boil for about 1 minute, stir so not to scorch.

Stir in  half and half and heat until hot.  Remove from stove and add vanilla.  Pour into mugs and top with a frozen whipped cream snowman face.
