This is my copycat recipe for the Mule Kicker that is served at the ACME Restaurant in Nashville.

Bill and I took a vacation this last week to Nashville, Spencer, Sparta and Cookeville, TN.  We had a really good time sightseeing around Tennessee.

The beginning of our vacation started in Nashville.  The first day we ate and took in the bar scene on Lower Broadway.  Man that is a hopping place and actually a bit too crowded for us.  We were glad we got to experience it though.

The second day we hopped on a tour bus that took us around town during the day.  It dropped us off at some sightseeing spots.  We toured the Country Music Hall of Fame.  Later that night we attended a show at the Grand Ole Opry.  Now that was super fun!  We saw Martina McBride, Steve Wariner, Jeannie Seely,  Henry Cho, Tyler Farr and Chris Janson.

It was Bill's birthday that day and we really went to see Martina however Chris Janson very quickly became our favorite!!!

The last 2 days of our vacation we went hiking in the mountains.  We love to hike and especially if we can find waterfalls to hike to.

This has been Bill's all time favorite waterfall.  It is Cummins Falls.  Bill even ventured up the falls and jumped off.  Not me, I am afraidy cat.

Burgess Falls

Rockhouse Falls and Cane Creek Falls

Cane Creek Cascades--  as you can see in the picture above you can slide down these cascades.  Above the falls you can also see the swinging bridge.  We had to walk across this bridge to get to the Rockhouse falls and Cane Creek falls

Piney Creek Falls

Twin Creek Falls

We found out about the ACME Restaurant and Bar while we were on our tour bus.  The bus tour ends at the bus station that is across the street from this restaurant.  The tour guide/bus driver was telling us that Alan Jackson owns this restaurant and if we had time to pop in and take a look around.

So we did and it was the best restaurant/bar we visited on Lower Broadway.  The bartender was super friendly and let us sample different beers they had on tap.  We both chose a locally made beer.  While sitting at the bar drinking our beer,  Bill asked what she had in the slushie machine.  She grabbed a glass and 2 straws and poured us some of their famous Mule Kicker.  One taste and I fell hook line and sinker..... OMG that is the best slushie ever made.  I knew at that moment I had to figure this drink out.... that is how my Lemon Moonshine Slushie was born :)
