Strawberry Lemon Vodka Ice Cream

When I think of July, I think of hot summer days and the 4th of July holiday.  I sure hope July is going to warm back up!  It has been a little on the chilly side here in Ohio.

Hummingbird Food

I love to watch the Hummingbirds eat out of the feeders.  The sound of them flying by you on the way to the feeder is a vibrating noise.  My favorite part of watching them is when you get 2 hummingbirds wanting to eat at the same time and they keep running each other off.  

I like to make my own food over buying the ready made as it will save you money. I also do not add red food coloring to mine and the birds still find my feeder and eat it just fine. 

Hummingbird Food

1 cup water

1/4 cup sugar

Microwave water until very hot ( I do mine for 3 minutes)

Stir in sugar until dissolved. Let water cool down to room temperature and then fill feeders

Today is Father's Day and we grilled out awesome Smithfield® Extra Tender St. Louis Style Pork Spareribs.

Skillet Pasta Pizza

This was a quick and easy supper.  Bill and I had been at a car show all day and I needed to get supper done fast.... this Skillet Pasta Pizza did the trick.

Texas Cheesy Garlic Toast Breakfast Sandwich

Oh wow the Texas Cheesy Garlic Toast combined with egg, sausage and cheese was amazing. Cally did not think garlic and eggs sounded good so she used regular bread.

Here is my Strawberry Vodka after 3 days.  Oh WOW the red color is beautiful and the smell is AMAZING!

I had no idea flavored Vodka would be this easy to make.  I guess it is no different than putting vanilla beans into vodka to make vanilla.

Sweet Dressing Macaroni Salad

I love making Sweet Dressing Macaroni Salad for our cookouts.  I use this same dressing on slaw and broccoli Cauliflower Salad.
