Slow Cooker Beef Stew

Growing up I would not have eaten anything that had peas in it.  I still will not eat peas alone.  But mix them in with the other veggies in this beef stew and I love them.

We had an exciting and spooky weekend.  Bill and I traveled to Chillicothe Ohio to see Cally. Chillicothe is about half way for both of us to meet.  We have been through Chillicothe many times but had never adventured around town.

Coconut Lime Amaretto Shortbread

This shortbread is packed with a whole lot of my favorite flavors!  Put the lime in the coconut and drink it all up..... wait, no eat it all up!!  I  sure could!  These were a big hit.  I made them for lunch yesterday.  Bill and Cally hauled wood all day.

If you like beer bread you will enjoy this Hard Apple Cider Bread.  The hard ciders have been a hit the last few years.  A couple of my favorite ciders are a berry or Pear cider.

Spooky Halloween Cookies

I am officially in the holiday mood.  Fall is my favorite time of year.  I love the months of September, October and November.  It all starts around my birthday on October 8th and after that I am ready for Halloween.

Mexican Lasagna

If you like burritos you will Love this Mexican Lasagna.  When Bill and I were eating this we were thinking of other ingredients that could have been added..... jalapeno peppers, Mexican rice, salsa or if you like tomatoes.  We garnished ours with sour cream and Bill would have liked to add shredded lettuce to the top of his too.
