My Favorite Apple Recipes

Happy Fall!!  This is the best time of the year.  Fall is my all time favorite season.  I love all recipes with apples and pumpkin.  Fall to me is a time for comfort food.... like chili and soups. When I think of fall I can image smelling cinnamon, nutmeg, allspice, ginger and cloves.

I say this a bunch but man I really think I have found my new favorite ice cream.  Peppermint is a favorite candy flavor of mine.  Then add chocolate and I am in heaven!

Devil's Food Butter Cake

 

As your probably know Chocolate Cake is not my favorite, however this Devil's Food Butter Cake is a winner with me.  There is something about Devil's Food Cake that I like, maybe the added coffee makes for a different flavor than a regular chocolate cake?  I don't know what it is but I do like this cake.  If you are a chocolate lover then this is the cake for you!  Rich, ooey gooey, chocolate flavor awaits your taste buds!

I am in love with my 6 inch bundt cake pan!  It makes just the right size cake for Bill and I!

Lemon Rum Cake

Happy Easter!  I have made another flavor of rum cake to take to mom's for Easter dinner.  Not that we will need another dessert as I know there will be lots of goodies to be had!  If you follow me on Instagram make sure to check in and I will post some pictures of  all the goodies we have today.

Perfect Hard Boiled Eggs

I have been making my hard boiled eggs wrong all my adult life!  I have tried using out of date eggs to make them easier to peel but that also did not always work.

Coconut Rum Cake

 

I think this is my best Rum Cake yet!  My mother-in-law has me hooked on rum cakes.  I love how moist they are and the buttery sticky goodness that soaks inside the cake is awesome!

Everything Bagel Casserole

While down visiting Billy and Amanda in January, I tried Everything bagels.  It never seemed appealing to me to have a bagel and onion together.... I have always liked Cinnamon Crunch bagels. However after trying the Everything bagel, I was a fan!

Apple Pie Danish

I have fallen in love with Wewalka Puff Pastry... My favorite part.... It's ready to bake.... No Thawing!  How awesome is that.

Black Cherry Rum Cake

I put a twist on my Mother-in-laws yummy Rum Cake.  I tried making a rum cake and it was a total fail.... way too strong.  This recipe is awesome as regular rum cake or the jazzed up Black Cherry Rum Cake.

Bourbon & Honey Ice Cream

I found a new favorite Ice Cream!  While down in Lexington visiting Billy and Amanda they took us to a local ice cream shop and this is my version of the ice cream I had that day.

Bill's Chili

Here is a Chili that I made especially for Bill.  He said the chili I have been making was thick and he wanted a chili more like Wendy's chili.  So my version of Wendy's chili is called Bill's Chili :)

Apple Coffee Cake

 

Today we woke up to snow so it was a good day to stay inside and work on a new recipe.  This week an Amish Blog shared my Amish Apple Brownies which created many blog hits for the recipe.  So I thought it fitting to create another Apple recipe.... That is how the idea for an Apple Coffee Cake was born :)

Tomato Soup

I don't think I will ever eat Tomato Soup from a can ever again!  This creamy homemade Tomato Soup was awesome!  It reminded me of a Tomato Soup we get at an Italian Restaurant in Urbana name Cafe Paradiso.
