Mom's Sloppy Joe's

This is my Mom's Sloppy Joe recipe.  It is a favorite at family Birthday parties.  I love that it is a little sweeter than canned sloppy Joe Sauce.  This homemade version is way better than any canned sloppy joe's.

With today being Monday and I was not wanting to get up early to start my work, I knew I would be working overtime tonight.  Overtime = Perfect time to use the crockpot.  

Homemade Vanilla after 1 week and my YUM button

Here is a 1 week update on my Homemade Vanilla.  As you can see the vanilla is darkening up.  It is a nice amber color right now.

This is Bill's favorite Chocolate Chip Cookie recipe.  Just like with cake, Chocolate is not my favorite, oh I will eat them but I would rather have me a sugar cookie.

Homemade Vanilla

Yum If my recipe calls for 1 teaspoon of vanilla extract, you can bet I am adding 2 teaspoons.  I love the taste and smell of vanilla

Devils Food Cake with Raspberry Filling

Crockpot Green Beans and Potatoes

Today I used my left over ham and made beans and potatoes.  Something magical happens to these green beans and potatoes after being in the crockpot all day with my left over ham.... oh it is heavenly!

We sure had a busy Easter weekend.  It started out Saturday by Billy, Bill and I traveling to Lexington Kentucky to find Billy an apartment.  Billy is graduating from Ohio State next month and has accepted a job as a 2nd Assistant Superintendent.  We found a place and soon we will be moving him from Columbus to Lexington.  It is an exciting time in our family.  I am happy for Billy but sad to see him move 3 hours away.
