Oh comfort food at it's best!  I love anything with mashed potatoes and gravy!  Fall has arrived here in Ohio finally this weekend.  The temperatures are to be in the 70's!!!

Fall is my favorite season so for the weather to be cooling off is exciting for me.  I love fall festivals, tree's changing colors and the fall holiday season.  You will not be surprised later this week when you start seeing my Pumpkin everything recipes!  Not only do I love the fall season but I also love the fall tastes and recipes.

Stay tuned to see what Pumpkin creations I come up with this season......

Salisbury Steak

Meat:
1 or 2 pounds ground beef (depending on the size and how many you are serving)
Worcestershire sauce, to taste
salt and pepper, to taste
2 tablespoon butter

Gravy:
2 packages McCormick's Mushroom Gravy Mix
2 cups hot water
1 teaspoon Worcestershire Sauce
8 ounces Sliced fresh Mushrooms

Melt butter in a large skillet.  Form ground beef into patties and place in skillet.  Sprinkle each patty with Worcestershire sauce, salt and pepper.  Brown patties on both sides.

Place the mushrooms into the skillet with the browned patties to begin cooking as you mix up the gravy.

Mix gravy, 2 cups hot water and Worcestershire Sauce together and pour into the skillet with the patties and mushrooms.

Simmer patties in gravy until the patties are no longer pink and the gravy has thickened.  Serve gravy over mashed potatoes if desired.
