No Peel Slow Cooker Applesauce

I love homemade applesauce but HATE to peel all those apples to make it.  This No Peel method is what my mom did when I was growing up.

Bill will eat it this way but prefers for me to peel the apples and not cook them as long so when I mash it with a potato masher it still has lumps in it.  When I leave the peels on, my applesauce is also darker in color than when I don't.

It's an easy process making applesauce this way.  I just core the apples, quarter each apple then place them in my slow cooker with a splash of apple cider  for 3 - 4 hours or until nice and soft.

When the apples are cooked and ready to make apple sauce.  I put mine through a food mill.  The mill smashes the apples through the little holes in the bottom while keeping the peels from going through (well most of them, I do get little specks of peels in my sauce but you really do not notice it).

After all the apples are made into sauce sprinkle on the desired amount of sugar and cinnamon and you have the best tasting warm apple sauce!  I let mine cool on the counter then either put it in the refrigerator to use now or if using later pour into freezer containers and thaw out when you want some good ol' homemade applesauce.

No Peel Slow Cooker Apple Sauce

16-20 apples  (3 to 4 pounds)
1/2 cup apple cider
1/4 cup sugar
1/2 teaspoon cinnamon

Core and quarter apples.  Place apples in slow cooker with the 1/2 cup apple cider.  Cook on high for 3 to 4 hours or until apples are mushy enough to put through the food mill.

Drain apples and process them through the food mill.  After all apples are mushed through the food mill stir in sugar and cinnamon.... enjoy!

I and one of fellow mate Shahab took thesis writing services in Islamabad just to try out new recipes before I leave. Believe me, the apple sauce was the best experiment. I would try this too but that is just ah-mazing!

  5. Your age doesn’t matter, confetti is confetti! When I was a kid (Read: Still hahah) I used to do this thing where I glued the whole page and then added different colored glitter and confetti on it. I still do it sometimes when I feel exhausted after providing academic writing in Pakistan. Doing this helps me keep my calm and it feels really relaxing. 10/10 recommended!
