The perfect size loaf of Beer Bread for 2... makes it great for us since we like to eat Beer Bread fresh out of the oven.

Of course you can heat it up, we are just not fans of left over Beer Bread.  If you are baking bread for a family go ahead and double the recipe for a regular sized loaf but if you are like us and needing bread for 2-3 people make this smaller size portion....perfect for empty nesters like us :)

Here is the regular size loaf pan compared to my smaller size loaf pan.

My pan is a Fat Daddio's BP-5642.  If you would like the smaller pan, I found mine on Amazon

Beer Bread is not just for butter... oh no... slather on some of your favorite jelly, jam or fruit butters.  I also have a surprise in store for you for what we made this loaf of Beer Bread for.  I went outside of the box with this topping and I was soooooo right!  Stay tuned...............

Beer Bread (small loaf)

1 1/2 cups flour
1/4 cup sugar
1/2 Tablespoons baking powder
1/2 teaspoon salt
6 ounces beer
2 Tablespoons melted butter

Heat oven to 350 degrees.  Melt butter and pour some inside the loaf pan and up the sides.  The remaining butter will be drizzled over the top of the batter before baking.

Stir together the dry ingredients (flour, sugar, baking powder and salt)

Pour in beer and mix until combined

Pour batter into buttered load pan and drizzle the remaining butter over top of the batter.

Bake for 25-30 minutes or until toothpick inserted in top comes out clean.
