I know I have said this before but I LOOOOOVE Browned Butter anything!!!!!!!!!!
For these Rice Krispie treats instead of as soon as the butter is melted I stir in the marshmallows, I allowed my butter to brown before adding the marshmallows.  It is super easy to do brown butter, you just have to make sure you do not burn the butter.  That is also easy to do :)

The brown butter just has an all together different taste to it.  I guess you would call it a nutty flavor. When I brown my butter I get little brown specks that are full of flavor.

So next time you are making Rice Krispie Treats, let you butter cook a little longer of it is melted so that it becomes a nice amber color with tiny brown flakes floating in it.... If you are like me you will not be sorry you took a little extra time for this big flavorful treat!!!

Browned Butter Rice Krispie Treats

1/4 cup butter
10 ounce package miniature marshmallows
6 cups Rice Krispies
1 teaspoon vanilla
1 cup tiny marshmallows, optional

In a large pan melt your butter.  Once Butter is melted continue to stir and cook butter until the color changes to a dark amber color.

Once butter is ready then add in the package of miniature marshmallows.  Stir continuously until the marshmallows are melted.  Take pan off the stove and stir in the vanilla.

Next pour in the rice krispies and stir well.  Lastly if desired stir in the tiny marshmallows.  Spread into a 8 x 11 pan ( or 9 x 13 will work too) ... enjoy!
