Bill's Chili

Here is a Chili that I made especially for Bill.  He said the chili I have been making was thick and he wanted a chili more like Wendy's chili.  So my version of Wendy's chili is called Bill's Chili :)

To make my chili thinner I have used tomato juice and tomato sauce for the base of the chili.  The first time I made this recipe I used ground turkey but this last time I did use ground beef.  We like the taste of the beef better than the turkey.

Bill's Chili

64 ounces tomato juice
29 ounces tomato sauce
1 pound sausage, browned
1 pound hamburger, browned
4 cans chili beans
1 1/2 teaspoons onion powder
2 teaspoons oregano
1 teaspoon cinnamon
1/2 teaspoon cayenne pepper
1 teaspoon garlic powder
2 teaspoons cumin
1 tablespoon chili powder
2 teaspoons salt
1 teaspoon pepper
1/3 cup brown sugar

Mix everything together into a big soup pot.  Simmer chili for about an hour so that all the flavors have time to mingle together.

Serve with cheese and crackers
